About The Position

Hospice of Wichita Falls is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to serve homecare patients in Wichita, Archer, Clay, Jack, Montague, and Young counties. The nurse assesses patients’ nursing needs and determines when other team members should assist. They work with patients and families to establish a plan of care that meets their needs, direct other team members, and ensure care meets patient expectations. The nurse documents care and ensures team documentation is completed to support billing and provide a clear, current picture of each patient’s condition and care needs. The role focuses on addressing patients’ greatest needs and providing compassionate hospice care in alignment with the organization’s mission.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
• Current license from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Ability to understand the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual concerns and problems of terminally ill patients in a home setting.
• Critical-thinking skills.
• Compassionate manner.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities
