RN - FMC Labor (.9 FTE, Nights)
About The Position
EvergreenHealth is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join its Family Maternity Center (FMC). FMC Registered Nurses provide total direct nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with established standards of care and hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines. This position offers self-scheduling and is one of multiple openings. It is a 0.9 FTE night position. EvergreenHealth is a Magnet-recognized health system in the Puget Sound area east of Seattle. Requirements
- Graduate of a nursing program; a diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington.
- At least one year of current labor and delivery RN experience.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification by the date of hire.
- NRP certification within four weeks of hire.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and act as a patient advocate.
- Assess the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
- Coordinate patient and family/significant-other education.
- Continuously plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, involving the patient and family/significant other in the process.
- Work with physician partners and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement the patient and family/significant-other plan of care.
- Communicate relevant information, including patient information, safety issues, equipment problems, and quality issues, to the immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Communicate and document changes in patient condition promptly to the charge nurse or supervisor and physician.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
