About The Position

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of the healthcare organization. The role uses the nursing process to provide and coordinate patient care for age-appropriate populations, develops and revises interdisciplinary plans of care, documents care in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements, and teaches patients and families across the continuum of care. The nurse also supports students, new staff, and colleagues and may serve as a preceptor. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania RN licensure or current multistate licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• One year of nursing experience.
• American Heart Association CPR.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to provide and coordinate plans of patient care for age-appropriate populations.
• Initiate, monitor, and revise interdisciplinary plans of care based on assessment findings and physician orders.
• Complete comprehensive patient documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements to promote interdisciplinary communication.
• Provide appropriate ongoing teaching to patients and families across the continuum of care.
• Support the development of students, new staff, and colleagues; may serve as a preceptor.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
• Comply with applicable laws, company policies, training requirements, the Code of Business Conduct, HIPAA, and information-security guidelines.
