About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Flex Pool, working night shifts. Candidates must possess an active Hawaii State RN license by the start of the assignment. Medical and religious exemptions will not be accepted in lieu of documented proof of immunity. The role involves floating between various medical and surgical units. The shift is 12 hours, from 1845 to 0715, with scheduled 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation. There is no guarantee of hours. Equipment utilized includes Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes. The Medical unit has 77 beds, Laulima (surgical Acute) has 18 beds, and the Cardiovascular Unit has 15 beds. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:6 for days and evenings, and 1:8 for nights on the Medical unit; 1:6 on Laulima; and 1:4 on Cardiovascular. Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves. The dress code is professional nursing attire with clean scrubs. Orientation time will be provided for each unit.

Requirements

• Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment.
• 2-10 years of experience.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities
