About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Evening shift at our Assisted Living facility in Shelburne Bay, VT. This is a contract position for 8-13 weeks. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Assisted Living setting and possess a strong understanding of Long-Term Care (LTC) or Nursing Home nursing practices and protocols. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents and their families.

Requirements

Current RN license in the state of practice.
Experience working with Assisted Living Facility.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Knowledge of LTC or Nursing Home nursing practices and protocols.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Compassion and empathy for patients and their families.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients when necessary.
State license.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to residents in an Assisted Living setting.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor resident health status and report any changes to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and families to develop and implement care plans.
Ensure compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
Educate residents and families on health and wellness topics.
Foster a compassionate and empathetic environment for residents.
