About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for evening shifts at our facility in Markleysburg, PA. This is a contract position for 8-13 weeks, focusing on providing high-quality patient care in a nursing home setting. The ideal candidate will possess a current RN license, BLS certification, and a strong understanding of Long-Term Care (LTC) nursing practices. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication and organizational skills, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate empathy towards patients and their families. Physical stamina and the ability to assist with patient mobility are also important.

Requirements

Current RN license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Knowledge of LTC or Nursing Home nursing practices and protocols.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Compassion and empathy for patients and their families.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients when necessary.
State license.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to residents in a nursing home setting during evening shifts.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor resident conditions and report any changes to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment plans.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents.
Assist with patient mobility and transfers as needed.
