About The Position

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse works within the organization’s policies and procedures, demonstrates professional growth and accountability, maintains standards of practice, and coordinates the patient care activities of assigned staff to provide quality nursing care.

Requirements

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• No experience is required; new graduates of a nursing program are eligible.
• Current Georgia Registered Nurse license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• For Emergency Department nurses: ACLS and PALS certification, required within 180 days. Experienced Emergency Department nurses have six months to obtain PALS.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting.
