RN - ED - PRN Nights
About The Position
The ER Nurse, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and nursing supervisor, provides and directs nursing care for patients in the emergency department. The RN delivers care according to patient needs across infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, and demonstrates a patient-centered approach to total nursing care. The role requires cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when working with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN plans, supervises, and evaluates patient nursing care and correlates the nursing process with the medical plan of care and applicable policies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing, as evidenced by verification of state licensure.
- Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required.
- BLS required upon hire.
- ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of assignment to the Emergency Department.
Nice To Haves
- At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment preferred.
