About The Position

Join Baylor Scott & White - Lake Pointe as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The role serves patients with CP/STEMI, stroke, and sepsis, with patient ratios of 1:3–4 in a six-bed unit. The position is PRN nights.

The Registered Nurse manages patient care using the nursing practice model and works with other healthcare staff to deliver effective care. The nurse uses the nursing process to assess patient responses to health issues, identify healthcare needs, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of true, recent Emergency Department RN experience.
• RN license.
• Texas RN BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications; these can be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient needs and create, implement, and assess care plans to achieve outcomes, adapting plans as necessary.
• Observe patient indicators closely and support evidence-based changes through research and hands-on learning.
• Create a caring and safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Build relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries, and manage emotional and physical pain to promote healing and reduce suffering.
• Facilitate learning for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with colleagues and the community to develop and carry out an integrated plan of care.
• Use problem-solving strategies and available resources to support patients, families, and staff.
