About The Position

The Registered Nurse Coordinator provides direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills, while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families in accordance with legal, organizational, and professional standards. The coordinator also provides team leadership to improve station or unit flow and functioning. The role is with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses, at the NW Campus in Houston.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved RN nursing program.
• Hold a valid and current Texas RN license.
• Hold current BCLS through the American Heart Association.
• Have at least 2 years of experience in a clinical area related to the assigned department.
• Have experience leading a team.
• Demonstrate the ability to use equipment and related supplies for the selected patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy.
• Have CRT experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Specialty nursing certification appropriate to the assigned specialty area.
• Windows-based computer skills.
• ACLS.
• At least 2 years of ambulatory care experience.
• Supervisory experience.
