About The Position

This role requires a minimum of 3-5 years of critical care experience to coordinate unit staffing and provide leadership for assigned specialty areas such as Cardiovascular/Cath Lab, Surgical Services, Emergency/Triage, Endoscopy, Adult/Pediatric/NeoNatal Critical Care, or Labor & Delivery/Women & Family. The RN Clinical Team Lead will assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support associates during assigned shifts while exercising independent judgment to plan shifts, services, and patient care. They will assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuring population-appropriate care, maintaining productivity standards, and justifying variances to unit managers. The role also involves responding to patient care complaints through established channels and setting operational priorities appropriate to daily patient and physician dynamics. Additionally, the Team Lead will facilitate the availability of adequate materials, resources, and supplies while providing input into the hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluation of staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of critical care experience.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
