About The Position

Southwest Healthcare is recruiting an RN Clinical System Analyst through its partnership with the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program. This opportunity is for active-duty military members within 180 days of separation. Participants receive hands-on experience in healthcare operations while completing their military service and remain employed and compensated by the military during the internship.

The role provides training, experience, and technical support to help ensure effective use of all aspects of the electronic medical record (EMR). The analyst applies clinical and technical knowledge to analyze and resolve complex EMR and workflow problems, including issues involving software, hardware, and workflows. The position requires working onsite at Southwest Healthcare facilities in Southern California.

Southwest Healthcare operates five acute care hospitals and several non-hospital access points. It is owned and operated by subsidiaries of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS).

Requirements

• Current California RN license.
• Must be an active-duty military member with 180 days of service remaining.
• Must be able to work onsite at Southern California facilities.
• Working knowledge of Order Management systems and clinical documentation, whether written or automated.
• Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Support the use of online clinical documentation and electronic medical records.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge and experience with Cerner Millennium PowerChart.
• Information Services experience providing clinical application support.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, experience, and technical support to ensure effective use of all aspects of the electronic medical record.
• Analyze, define, and apply clinical and technical knowledge to solve complex problems involving the EMR and workflows.
• Troubleshoot EMR-related software, hardware, and workflow problems.
