About The Position

Beacon Hospice, part of Amedisys, is hiring an RN Clinical Manager to oversee hospice clinical operations and the quality of patient care. The position follows a four-day, 10-hour schedule from Friday through Monday. Saturday and Sunday may be worked remotely; the role is onsite in the office on Friday and Monday. The manager may provide direct patient care infrequently during emergencies and participates in the on-call process.

Requirements

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• One year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
• One year of RN management experience.
• Current RN license specific to the state(s) assigned.
• Current CPR certification.
• Connecticut-specific qualifications apply if assigned to Connecticut; the posting lists alternative education, experience, and certification or coursework pathways for that state.

Responsibilities

• Support, participate in, and work cooperatively with the director of staffing.
• Be responsible for the overall quality of patient care and the clinical performance of nurses and aides.
• Organize clinical operations for the care center.
• Review service requests and determine patient eligibility and suitability for home care services.
• Work with intake to coordinate patient referrals and admissions.
• Oversee scheduling.
• Oversee payor verification and precertification requirements.
• Review staff documentation and ensure missing, incomplete, or untimely documentation issues are resolved.
• Assist clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term patient goals, setting priorities, and developing plans of care.
• Regularly evaluate patient needs and collaborate with clinicians on necessary revisions to plans of care.
• Provide direct patient care infrequently during emergencies, as needed.
• Participate in the on-call process.
• Assist with staff training to ensure quality care, compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
• Participate in investigating and resolving patient, family, and physician concerns.
