About The Position

The RN Clinical Coordinator is responsible for demonstrating interpersonal skills and competency in leadership, supervision, and management of staff. This role collaborates in the development and implementation of policies, systems, and programs to guide assigned functions, activities, and responsibilities. The coordinator handles day-to-day operations including payroll adjustments, schedule changes, patient complaint follow-ups, and quality reviews. They also assist the nursing manager with new program implementation, employee evaluations, and disciplinary issues. A key part of the role involves evaluating and documenting patient response, monitoring changes in physiological and psychosocial status, and taking appropriate action. The position also requires practicing, developing, and endorsing customer service skills and demonstrating knowledge and application of the nursing process. Additional responsibilities include adhering to downtime procedures, departmental policies, and performing job functions safely while modeling the mission and core values of Norwegian American Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Handles day to day operations such as but not limited to payroll adjustments, schedule changes, following up on patient complaints and quality reviews.
  • Assists nursing manager with implementation of new programs, employee evaluations and disciplinary issues.
  • Evaluates and documents patient response; monitors and recognizes changes in physiological and psychosocial status; takes appropriate action based on assessment of the patient.
  • Practices, develops and endorses customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of the nursing process.
