Clinical Coordinator RN
About The Position
The RN Clinical Coordinator provides leadership and oversight to support high-quality patient care and operational efficiency within a clinical area. The role manages patient flow, coordinates staffing, addresses clinical challenges, and monitors adherence to protocols and standards. The coordinator also supports collaboration and effective team performance, and provides nursing care to patients as needed. The position schedules nursing staff for shifts based on past utilization trends, measures employee performance, assists with staff training and development, and coordinates unit activities during a shift by directing, organizing, and assigning work. It also includes assessing, monitoring, and educating nursing staff on patient care and instituting emergency procedures when necessary. The position is at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, a 571-bed nonprofit hospital.
Requirements
- Associate degree and completion of an RN program.
- Three years of nursing experience.
- Registered Nursing License (RN) in Arizona.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
- Clinic experience.
Responsibilities
- Schedule nursing staff to specific shifts, taking past utilization trends into account.
- Measure employee performance.
