As an RN Clinical Coordinator you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit. You will not serve as a supervisor or manager; instead serve as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff, authorize work procedures and assign duties, shift charge, as well as: Demonstrating strong clinical judgment and ensuring high-quality care delivery to each patient. Acting as a vital link between physicians and the patient care team to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration. Maintaining communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates. Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Act as a professional role model for all staff by demonstrating ethical/legal/professional nursing. Promotes the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. Actively serves on unit as a registered nurse and may take patient assignments based on unit and patient needs and acuity. Previous OR Experience required- 1 year min Previous HEart TEam/CVOR experience required Previous Leadership Experience preferred Day to Day: WIll cover the heart team Run front desk in the OR. Ensure assignments for staff meet the daily need.Schedule the next day’s assignments. Communicate case changes to staff, support, and coach staff to build confidence and growth. Hold staff accountable to policy and high standard of practice. Collaborate with the lead Anesthesiologist on daily case flow and efficiency. Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs/ practices for department associates. Act as leadership within the department to support staff, Manager and Director. Will also be used on occasion to help out in the rest of the OR. Clinical role - taking over rooms when coming in and any add ons throughout the night. Prep rooms for next days cases when no surgeries are going on. Coming in if needed and acting as department resource. 17 OR Suites including 1 trauma room, a hybrid Room, Designated CVOR and a Cystoscopy Suite. Approx. 450-500 cases per month Schedule: 40hrs/wk variable shifts per surgical volume and current unit needs. Call- Rotating call, Evenings/nights, weekends and holidays. 30Min Callback radius Required.

Requirements

  • At least six months of direct RN experience.
  • Previous OR Experience (1 year minimum).
  • Previous Heart Team/CVOR experience.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (Nursing Diploma or by endorsement).
  • RN License to practice in state of employment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN.
  • Nursing Specialty Certification.
  • Previous Leadership Experience.
