RN Charge Weekend - Pediatric ER - FT -1st Shift

About The Position

The Clinical Charge Nurse identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, and delegating care based on patient needs. The nurse executes therapeutic physician orders and nursing interventions, evaluates patients’ responses to care and progress toward outcomes, and coordinates care with other professional disciplines as needed. The nurse also helps patients and/or staff identify problems and explore alternative choices and outcomes. This position is in the Pediatric ER and is listed as full-time, weekend, first shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Alabama nursing license.
BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
Previous nursing experience in a critical care setting.
Successful demonstration of supervisory and/or management ability.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and change tasks frequently and quickly.
