About The Position

The Clinical Charge Nurse identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, and delegation based on patient needs. The nurse executes therapeutic physician orders and nursing interventions, evaluates patient responses and progress toward outcomes, and coordinates care with other professional disciplines. The role also helps patients and staff identify problems and explore alternative choices and outcomes. This full-time position is for the Pediatric ER weekend schedule on the first shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Alabama nursing license.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Previous nursing experience in a critical care setting.
• Successful demonstration of supervisory and/or management ability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and change tasks frequently and quickly.
