RN Case Mgr-Crestwood Medical Center-FT-1st shift
About The Position
Reporting to the Director of Case Management, the Case Manager assists with the development, planning, coordination, and administration of utilization review and/or discharge planning activities. This includes reviewing medical records daily to determine appropriateness and establish medical necessity for admission, continued hospital stay, and use of ancillary services, as well as initiating and facilitating discharge planning. The Case Manager must be able to work independently, cover different assignments, manage time appropriately, communicate effectively, and work under stressful situations.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing required.
- Alabama Registered Nurse License.
- At least one year of clinical experience on a medical/surgical unit.
- Ability to work independently, cover different assignments, manage time appropriately, communicate effectively, and work under stressful situations.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three years of experience in case management or utilization management preferred.
