About The Position

The RN, under the ANA scope of practice, uses the nursing process to provide professional nursing care, incorporating patient- and family-centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge. The RN provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader, following Corewell Health policies and procedures, and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on outcomes. The RN partners with patients and families, incorporates their input and goals into care planning, develops teaching strategies, and documents education and learning in the health record.

This role is part time at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph in the Invasive Lab Cath St Joseph department. The schedule is 24 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on variable days, with on-call weekends.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing within 5 years.
• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of Emergency or ICU experience.
• Previous cardiovascular laboratory (CVL) experience.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients.
• Provide professional, quality nursing care according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and under the direction of the Nurse Leader.
• Incorporate patient- and family-centered care principles and partner with patients and families to include their input and goals in care planning.
• Develop patient and family teaching strategies and document education and learning in the health record.
