About The Position
The Cath Lab/Cardiovascular Technologist works in the Cardiac Cath Lab in Lewiston, Maine. Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist or Radiologist), the technologist assists with procedures by scrubbing or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures. The posting lists day shifts and an assignment length of 26 weeks (six months).
Requirements
- ARRT-R certification and state-required license, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential.
- At least one year of previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab.
- BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained as current.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities
- Assist with procedures by scrubbing or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data under the general direction of a Cardiologist or Radiologist.
- Prepare the procedure room for procedures.
- Monitor par levels of instruments and supplies.
- Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
- Participate in training new staff.
- Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
