This role is more than a job; it's an opportunity to deliver healthcare with heart. As a Clinic RN, you will participate in the care of patients under the supervision of the manager/director and in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. Your responsibilities will include measuring and recording vital signs, identifying abnormal values and reporting findings, and participating in clinic flow, which involves assisting with patient arrivals, procedures, scheduling, and ensuring a smooth patient exit. You will also prepare patients for examinations and procedures, observe for signs of abuse/neglect, and respond to emergencies. The role involves performing non-complex procedures, providing for patient comfort, preparing and cleaning equipment, administering medications and vaccinations, and collecting specimens for testing. Maintaining medication inventory, proper disposal of expired medications, and ensuring safe storage are also key duties. Accurate documentation in the patient medical record, completing paperwork, maintaining patient privacy, and navigating the Electronic Medical Record are essential. You will also prepare safety reports, assist colleagues, and keep the clinic manager informed of activities and issues, while maintaining strict patient confidentiality. Compliance with safety, environmental, infection control, and quality improvement standards is expected, along with ensuring patient safety and maintaining a clean working environment. You will implement standard and transmission-based precautions, perform hand hygiene, report safety hazards, and participate in quality improvement processes. Preparation for clinic visits includes gathering clinical documentation, operating equipment, obtaining outside medical records, and answering the telephone.
