The RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) will communicate regularly with residents and their families about Plans of Care, PT, OT, and other treatment protocols. This role involves attending and participating in morning meetings/stand-up to facilitate team communication, answering residents' questions about their care, treatment plans, and illness progression to ensure they feel safe and secure. The ADON will monitor and adjust resident statuses based on changing needs and conditions, organize and prioritize daily work by assessing the needs of new, current, and discharging residents, and complete all required documentation. This position performs utilization review activities to ensure resident-appropriate, timely, and cost-effective care, coordinates care with residents, care providers, financial services, and third-party payers, and oversees all admissions and discharge activities, including coordinating referrals. The role requires the ability to relate positively and effectively with residents, families, staff, and professional colleagues, maintain accurate charting and complete paperwork in a timely manner, and work independently while exercising sound judgment. Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential for interactions with physicians, providers, payers, residents, and their families. Excellent time management skills are needed to develop organized work processes in a high-volume environment with rapidly changing priorities. Intermediate computer skills and the ability to maintain professional, respectful, and honest interactions are also required.
