About The Position

This Registered Nurse specializing in anticoagulation management plays a critical role in promoting patient safety and therapeutic effectiveness by managing anticoagulant therapy under provider-approved protocols. This role ensures adherence to evidence-based clinical guidelines through direct patient management to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • 6 months experience as a registered nurse in ambulatory healthcare setting
  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse license in good standing (Illinois).
  • Completion of OSF-approved Anticoagulation Nurse Clinic Education Course(s) (current or immediate enrollment upon hire).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and travel between clinic sites as needed.
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record system.
