About The Position

The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to provide care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other health care providers. The RN is accountable for their professional development and for practicing within the scope of care defined by law. Using organizational resources, the RN advocates for patients and supports safe care through delegation and participation in performance and practice improvement activities. Nursing care at Kettering Health Network reflects the organization’s and nursing departments’ missions, vision, values, and philosophies.

Requirements

• Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• New graduate nurses must graduate from an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE).
• BLS certification.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications as determined by unit scope of practice.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; must be completed within five years of hire.
• A nurse returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course.
