About The Position

A Return Material Authorization (RMA) Technician's primary job revolves around the process of evaluating and repairing IT devices that are used in self-service kiosks. The RMA Technician will review parts returned from the field, receive them into an ERP system, log their findings within Sales Force tickets and either repair or scrap the parts. Additional duties include packaging items to prepare them for restocking, performing RMA work on whole kiosk machines as well as cleaning and maintaining the RMA lab.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 2 to 3 years related experience
  • Ability to read and write fluently in the English language.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Word
  • 2-3 years' experience working with IT equipment and handling sensitive computer parts.
  • Performing diagnosis and repair work on these types of items.
  • Knowledge and familiarity using common hand tools used for repair work: drills, sockets, drivers, wrenches, pliers, knives, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to commute to Louisville, CO and Thornton, CO.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check if required.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.
  • Unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa currently.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree in a computer related field and/or a Comp TIA A+ certification is preferred.
  • Experience as a computer technician, IT or RMA technician.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
  • Knowing how to make devices work with a PC in Windows, Android or other operating systems.
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing practices or production environment experience.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude or assembly experience: previous manufacturing, ATM or kiosk / self-service machine work, automotive, hobby / crafts.
  • Previous use of SAGE or other ERP systems and Salesforce preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, test and repair IT and POS devices: printers, LCD touchscreens, computers, barcode scanners, cash acceptors / dispensers, etc.
  • Organize returned components and keep accurate, detailed records of RMA stock and repairs.
  • Work with the Customer Service department on component issues and offer general technical assistance when needed.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding components for warranty and repair.
  • Organize and maintain inventory assigned to the RMA lab.
  • Enter and analyze data and identify trends in repair and replacement requests.
  • Application of computer software "images" and configuration of computers as required for CS department shipping needs.
  • Use of Salesforce and Sage ERP systems as it relates to RMA activity.
  • Notify supervisor / staff when returned product contains quality problems or other manufacturing defects.
  • Prepare and return material returned to vendors for evaluation.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
