Caterpillar provides an exceptional Compliance Program, and as a Risk & Compliance Professional, you can join this team and support the Electrification + Energy Solutions (E+ES) division. E+ES provides energy and electrification solutions designed to enhance operational efficiency, sustainability, and reliability for its clients. In this role, you will ensure adherence to all compliance standards at both the enterprise and divisional levels, thereby supporting E+ES in achieving its objectives through ethical practices. This role will be responsible for building and assessing the compliance control program for E+ES, lead and coordinate compliance related training and communications, implement and monitor process and procedures around compliance including end-to-end audit support, and other related transactional compliance activities that aligned to the enterprise governance.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience desired
  • Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
  • Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Knowledge of major responsibilities and tasks of Audit and Compliance (A&C) function; ability to manage the operation of A&C function in various business environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internal controls coordinator experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related discipline
  • Progressive Risk and Compliance related experience

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and evaluate the internal control program across the division.
  • Directing and participating in the risk and compliance education of the organization, ensuring ongoing and follow up education including regulations, policies, procedures, and trends.
  • Developing, revising, and monitoring process and procedures around compliance including end-to-end audit support.
  • Identifying potential risk and compliance vulnerabilities; developing corresponding corrective action plans for resolution of these issues and providing guidance for use in future situations.
