Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Emergency Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Two years of related experience in administration, program management, or risk and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled safety inspections of facilities, laboratories, construction sites, and operational areas.
  • Identify hazards and document findings.
  • Monitor corrective action completion and maintain inspection records.
  • Assist departments in addressing routine safety concerns.
  • Investigate workplace injuries, accidents, property damage, and near-miss incidents.
  • Gather information, prepare reports, maintain documentation, and track corrective actions.
  • Enter and maintain incident records within Origami and other departmental systems.
  • Coordinate and administer safety, emergency preparedness, and compliance-related training programs.
  • Track training completion requirements and maintain training records.
  • Schedule training sessions, drills, and educational outreach activities.
  • Maintain safety records, inspection reports, hazard assessments, corrective action logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Support reporting, records retention, and audit preparation activities.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained according to retention requirements.
  • Review certificates of insurance and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with processing insurance premiums, payments, claims documentation, and risk transfer requirements.
  • Support risk management activities related to contracts, special events, and university programs.
  • Coordinate registration, billing, documentation, training verification, compliance tracking, and administrative processes associated with Programs for Minors.
  • Monitor program submissions and deadlines to ensure compliance with university requirements.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness activities, exercises, drills, and response coordination.
  • Support emergency notification system testing and documentation.
  • Maintain records and materials associated with emergency management and business continuity programs.
