About The Position

Join the Idaho Ice World team in a part-time role as a Rink Attendant. This role keeps you active and engaged with the community! Working primarily weeknights and weekends, this position provides friendly customer service at the skate rental counter, assists guests with facility and program questions, and helps maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment. This position works up to 19 hours per week and is open to applicants age 16 and older.

Requirements

• Knowledge of customer service techniques.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of basic addition and subtraction.
• Ability to interact with the general public.
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
• Ability to display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of City employees, the general public and other organizations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance.
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely fashion.
• Ability to understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations.
• Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Ability to perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Applicants must be able to pass City of Boise background check processes which includes a criminal history check and reference checks in accordance with the City of Boise Hiring Process Regulation.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers at the skate rental counter.
• Determines the correct size of rentals and checks out customers.
• Performs other duties about customer service, answering questions related to programs and/or operations, and related duties as assigned.
• Utilizes computers and related software such as word processing and risk management.
• Participate in janitorial duties such as keeping all areas of the facility neat, clean, and safe at all times. These duties include sweeping and mopping the rink restrooms, locker rooms, shower areas, lobby, meeting rooms, bleachers, removing trash, cleaning rink glass, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
