About The Position

Join Sesame Place as an Ambassador and help create joyful, exciting, and memorable experiences for guests. As a Ride Operator, you will provide exceptional guest service while operating rides safely and ensuring that guests’ needs and expectations are met. The position involves operating and checking rides, assisting guests, maintaining clean areas, and communicating professionally with guests, vendors, and fellow Ambassadors.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Passion for customer service.
• Excellent multitasking and time-management skills.
• Outstanding communication abilities and active listening skills, including the ability to anticipate guests’ needs.
• Ability to promote and ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Flexibility to perform varied duties.
• Must act responsibly and maintain a high attention to safety.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to walk and stand extensively throughout the entire work shift.
• Ability to kneel, squat, bend from floor to waist and waist to overhead, reach overhead, and perform simple grasping and fine hand manipulation tasks, including using tools, a keyboard, and writing.
• Must comply with SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather, including extreme heat and cold.
• Must provide flexible, consistent availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and adhere to the Holiday and Availability agreement.
• Ability to complete required legal, company, and department training within established timelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate rides while ensuring all safety regulations are met.
• Complete opening safety checklists and test rides before opening rides to guests.
• Assist guests with loading and unloading from rides.
• Ensure guests meet rider requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in operator booths, ride areas, and surrounding guest areas.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, vendors, and guests.
• Practice safe work habits, use personal protective equipment, and report unsafe situations.
• Complete required legal, company, and department training within established timelines.
• Perform cleaning duties, including using cleaning chemicals.
