About The Position

Join Sesame Place as an Ambassador and help create joyful, exciting, and lasting memories for guests. Ride Operators provide exceptional guest service while operating rides and delivering a safe and enjoyable experience. The role involves monitoring rides, completing safety checks and test rides, assisting guests as they board and exit, verifying rider requirements, and maintaining clean ride and guest areas. Operators communicate professionally with guests, fellow Ambassadors, and vendors, and consistently follow safe work practices.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Passion for customer service.
• Excellent multitasking and time-management skills.
• Outstanding communication abilities.
• Active listening skills and ability to anticipate guests’ needs.
• Ability to promote and ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Flexibility to perform varied duties.
• Ability to act responsibly and maintain a high attention to safety.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand extensively throughout the entire work shift.
• Ability to kneel, squat, bend from floor to waist and waist to overhead, reach overhead, and perform simple grasping and fine hand manipulation tasks, including use of tools, keyboard, and writing.
• Willingness to comply with SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather, including extreme heat and cold.
• Flexible, consistent availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and willingness to adhere to the Holiday and Availability agreement.
• Ability to successfully complete required legal, company, and department training within established timelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate rides while ensuring safety regulations are met.
• Complete opening safety checklists and test rides before opening rides to guests.
• Assist guests with loading and unloading from rides.
• Ensure guests meet rider requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, including operator booths, ride areas, and surrounding guest areas.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, vendors, and guests.
• Practice safe work habits, use required personal protective equipment, and report unsafe situations.
• Complete cleaning duties, including the use of cleaning chemicals.
• Complete all legal, company, and department training requirements within established timelines.
