About The Position

HII – Mission Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineer to support a program at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The engineer will serve as deputy engineer for the RF integrated capability team. The role supports systems engineering and acquisition activities across the weapon system lifecycle, including requirements development, system design and integration, technology assessments, risk management, and sustainment. An active TS/SCI clearance and SAP experience are required.

Requirements

An active TS/SCI security clearance.
SAP experience.
15 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field; 13 years with a master's degree in a related field; or 10 years with a Ph.D. or Juris Doctorate in a related field. An engineering technology degree does not meet this requirement.
Experience in all phases of acquisition.
Experience with software-based capabilities.
Experience with electronic warfare and RF-based capabilities.
Strong communication skills across multiple stakeholders and projects.
Experience managing multiple small technology development efforts.
Experience working across multiple classification levels.

Nice To Haves

At least 10 years of relevant work experience with the DoD, another government agency, or a DoD contractor.
A Master of Science, Master of Arts, or higher degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline plus a master's degree or higher, or an equivalent professional degree such as an MBA or Juris Doctor.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline and 15 years of experience in an engineering position with the DoD, another government agency, or a DoD contractor.
At least three years of experience in an SAP environment within the last eight years.

Responsibilities

Apply engineering and scientific principles, criteria, and processes to improve the performance and sustainability of existing programs and projects.
Interpret digital transformation strategies at department and center levels and develop implementation plans for assigned programs or portfolios.
Assist in converting user requirements into system requirements for the design, development, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of systems, subsystems, and equipment.
Help translate requirements and technology needs into action plans and policies that strengthen manufacturing, operations, remanufacturing, and demilitarization capabilities for weapon systems.
Perform technical and mission analyses of existing and potential operational requirements.
Develop and review system design baselines, including architecture and interoperability requirements.
Review system, segment, and equipment specifications, as well as interface control documents associated with assigned programs.
Support and conduct assessments of engineering performance, operational effectiveness, cost effectiveness, lifecycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, and schedule risk, including trade-off studies.
Conduct systems analyses, including design feasibility evaluations and assessments of state-of-the-art technologies.
Provide systems and subsystem integration support for the acquisition, development, and verification of systems and equipment.
Support the full weapon system lifecycle, including analysis of alternatives, investment strategy development, manufacturing, sustainment, and end-of-life processes.
Assist with evaluating Air Force Research Laboratory technology initiatives to guide investment decisions and shape transition strategies for sustaining a viable technology base.
Help develop systems engineering documents and processes for subsystems and related projects.
Provide technical and programmatic feedback, deliver technical briefings, and support the development of acquisition products and strategies.
Support risk management and configuration control processes.
