About The Position

Applied Materials is hiring a new college graduate with a master's degree to design and test RF-related components for both installed customer equipment and new development serving customer process requirements, including 200mm and 300mm PVD, CVD, and Etch tools. The role is part of a team specializing in power RF engineering and RF power delivery systems to plasma loads in semiconductor processes. The engineer is expected to be self-motivated, interested in RF engineering and plasma-related areas, and willing to take risks and explore new areas. The position involves designing, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings. The engineer will conduct engineering analysis, generate test reports, develop solutions, and create product-release documentation, while coordinating component procurement and assembly and resolving technical issues. The role also includes working with development and customer support teams, characterizing RF systems and components, modeling and simulating RF components, and troubleshooting field issues in RF power and chamber plasma systems. Work includes exploring new RF sensing technologies and applications in the semiconductor industry.
