Applications Engineer New College Grad- Bachelor's/Master's (Santa Clara/Austin)
About The Position
The Applications Engineer will support the CrossMatch team in Applied Global Services (AGS), which develops and implements Applied Materials’ Chamber matching framework. The team collaborates with a wide range of organizations across the company. The role focuses on validating existing capabilities, testing software releases, documenting use cases and requirements, answering questions about CrossMatch software capabilities, and maintaining CrossMatch Portal accuracy. The position is for a new college graduate and is located in Austin, Texas, or Santa Clara, California. The role requires travel 10% of the time. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with an application deadline of December 31, 2026; the position may close earlier depending on application volume or candidate selection.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering.
- Good software application skills.
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Validate existing capabilities, including using the EPD dashboard, and document use cases.
- Test software releases by running practice sessions for each tool type.
- Document requirements and other relevant information.
- Field questions about CrossMatch software capabilities.
- Ensure CrossMatch Portal accuracy.
