About The Position

Qorvo's Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Qorvo’s RF/Analog Design Engineering Internships are offered in our Connectivity & Sensors business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS, PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Self-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
  • Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products

Nice To Haves

  • RF/microwave, analog, & digital integrated-circuit design course work and/or experience strongly preferred
  • Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred
  • Software Exposure: ADS, FEM, HFSS, Momentum, Synopsis, Mentor Calibre, Cadence Virtuoso/EMX/Xcelium, Dynamic Link, 3D CAD, Mechanical FEA
  • Scripting Exposure: SKILL, python, TCL, bash

Responsibilities

  • Producing and implementing designs to meet customer specifications for RF, analog, power management, mixed-signal, and digital SoC systems & circuits
  • Meeting performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, power dissipation and schedule
  • Partnering with technicians to perform circuit simulations and testing as needed
  • Designing and testing RF circuits (PA, LNA, SW, MIXER, VCO/PLL), analog/MS circuits (Gm-C/SC-filters, ADC/DAC), & digital circuits (modem, interfacing-uC/MEM/NVM, FSM)
  • Potential to work with: Signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data
  • Transistor level circuit design, simulation, and layout
  • Digital RTL simulation, synthesis, & place-n-route tools
  • Analog/RF measurement and digital capture/pattern-generation
  • Scripting automated/regression simulation environments (SKILL, python, TCL, bash)
