About The Position
The Rewinder Operator takes rolls of fabric and rewinds them to remove flaws or breaks, or divides them into smaller rolls to meet customer quality and quantity requirements. The operator threads and runs the machine, processes rolls to customer-specified lengths, and performs quality checks. The role also involves identifying and wrapping finished rolls, handling scrap, and keeping the work area clean. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and production procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a team player.

- Previous experience as a machine operator.
Responsibilities
- Thread and operate the machine to rewind large rolls of material to customer-specified lengths.
- Wrap and identify finished fabric rolls, and bundle or palletize them when required.
- Tag rolls for identification.
- Rewind rolls on hold by running them to the flaw and removing it by splicing when required.
- Conduct quality checks on material as required.
- Clean and sweep the area around the machine, including the main aisle.
- Bundle and bail scrap material.
- Wear safety shoes and hearing protection at all times.
