About The Position

This role is for an exceptionally skilled and expert accounting professional with heavy knowledge and experience in ASC 606 revenue recognition. The Revenue Recognition Manager will have a proven, consistent track record in its application to customer contracts and managing related revenue processes, systems, and policies. The position involves being an authority in defining the company's accounting position in relation to the evolving business landscape, including research into accounting literature for new product releases and innovative pricing models, with practical application at the individual customer contract level. The role also serves as a go-to resource for revenue recognition guidance, advising Revenue Operations and Legal on proposed customer contracts and amendments. It requires gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to evaluate the effectiveness of accounting and business practices, generating actionable metrics for management decisions. The manager will also team up with key business partners to enhance or improve existing operational processes and systems, institute scalable new ones around the company’s revenue policy, and champion clean revenue and contract data by investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving system revenue discrepancies. Additionally, the role involves identifying and devising solutions for persistent process and system issues, owning key monthly and quarterly deliverables, ad-hoc projects, and assisting with internal and external audit requests.

Requirements

  • Heavy knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition Standard with experience in the SaaS industry
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software and other related systems (Zuora Billing, Z-Revenue, NetSuite, Salesforce) required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Detail-oriented and great with time management
  • Proven ability to drive projects to completion
  • Ability to operate within US work hours

  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred

Responsibilities
