Remote | Revenue Operations & CRM Systems Specialist (SaaS) — $45–$90/hour
About The Position
This is a part-time, fully remote independent contractor consulting engagement for an experienced Revenue Operations and CRM Systems professional. The specialist will contribute to an advanced AI training and systems-alignment project by analyzing complex SaaS revenue environments that may include CRM, billing, ticketing, automation, and related platforms. The work involves identifying system and policy inconsistencies, evaluating operational data and processes, resolving or documenting conflicting rules, and defining appropriate handling for ambiguous or interconnected scenarios. No prior AI experience is required. The specialist will assess CRM and revenue-system configurations, data quality, operational logic, and downstream impacts; identify policy conflicts, outdated automations, duplicate entities, permission mismatches, and process gaps; and recommend appropriate corrections while maintaining data integrity and operational continuity. They will document decision logic, exceptions, trade-offs, dependencies, and recommendations in clear materials for technical and non-technical stakeholders. The engagement is offered through 24-MAG LLC. Project scope, workload, timing, and duration may evolve according to project requirements. Work must not use confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in revenue operations, sales operations, customer success operations, SaaS implementation, onboarding, or a closely related discipline.
- Direct experience owning and configuring CRM systems, rather than solely managing teams responsible for configuration.
- Practical experience configuring CRM fields, workflows, validation rules, permissions, and related functionality.
- Experience with at least two adjacent SaaS revenue tools, such as billing or subscription management, CPQ or quoting, ticketing or support, project tracking, or automation and integration platforms.
- Strong understanding of interconnected revenue systems and the effects of cascading operational changes.
- Ability to assess ambiguous policies, operational exceptions, and conflicting system rules.
- Comfort documenting nuanced decisions involving renewals, entitlement changes, and other complex revenue processes.
- Strong attention to data accuracy, reporting integrity, and operational consistency.
- Professional English proficiency and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to clearly explain detailed operational reasoning and trade-offs.

Responsibilities

- Assess cascading impacts before recommending or applying changes.
- Draft operational prompts, recommendations, and handling instructions for complex scenarios.
- Document the reasoning behind proposed changes, including decisions to leave some items unchanged.
- Produce detailed documentation that explains operational trade-offs, policy interpretations, and system dependencies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support transparent, reproducible decision-making and reliable reporting across revenue operations workflows.
