About The Position

GDIT is seeking a Revenue Cycle Informaticist to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) program. This role involves modernizing the EHR platform to improve data access, patient experience, and quality of care. The Revenue Cycle Informaticist will act as a subject matter expert for revenue cycle workflows, including charging, coding, billing, claims management, and revenue integrity within the PATH EHR environment. They will collaborate with clinical, HIM, finance, and operational stakeholders to optimize revenue cycle processes, support implementation and sustainment, troubleshoot workflow issues, and ensure accurate capture and reconciliation of clinical revenue.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting medium to large IT projects.
  • Deep experience in back-end revenue cycle operations.
  • Knowledge of hospital and ambulatory billing workflows.
  • Experience with coding, HIM, and claims management.
  • Understanding of revenue cycle impacts from clinical documentation.
  • EHR implementation, optimization, or support experience.
  • Ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and financial teams.
  • Knowledge of Indian Health Services workflows.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with the Oracle Health electronic health record.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for revenue cycle workflows related to charging, coding, billing, claims management, and revenue integrity within the PATH EHR environment.
  • Partner with clinical, HIM, finance, and operational stakeholders to optimize downstream revenue cycle processes.
  • Support implementation and sustainment activities.
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues.
  • Ensure accurate capture and reconciliation of clinical revenue.
  • Represent revenue cycle interests in partnerships with clinical, operational, and IT leadership to translate revenue cycle needs into information system needs.
  • Provide workflow analysis and operational support to customers.
  • Serve as subject matter expert with field and corporate partners to establish and disseminate best practices for integrated technologies.
  • Identify highest-value opportunities to propose solutions to clinical workflow and operational barriers, based on data and observation.
