Responsible for running and monitoring the completion of check write and escheat processes. This role involves processing monthly royalty payments, performing variance analysis, reviewing and researching unusual owner payments, and applying refunded revenue to owner accounts. The analyst will utilize the company ticketing system to track and complete assigned tickets, explain monthly owner payment fluctuations, and perform the Joint Interest Netting process, including analyzing payments and mailing them timely. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with the AR Analyst to review payments to working interest owners, analyze large volumes of unclaimed property, and manage the escheat process in compliance with regulations, working with Division Orders and a third-party escheat vendor. The position also includes processing monthly journal entries for Royalty Payment Processes, working with the escheat vendor on stale-dated acquisition items, preparing monthly account reconciliations, and researching owner inquiries. The analyst will also prepare the month's cash forecast for the Royalty Payment process, resolve outstanding issues related to accounting system integration, and adhere to the company’s values and vision. Other responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality, working with other departments to resolve owner issues, contributing to team efforts, and performing special projects related to oil and gas revenue accounting.
