About The Position

TRM Labs is seeking a Revenue and Billing Operations Manager to join their Finance team. This role will be the senior owner of the billing function and a key contributor to revenue accounting. The primary focus will be on replacing manual work with automation, preparing records for a first-year audit, and building systems and controls from a lean base. The manager will have the mandate to decide what to automate and ensure the processes are audit-defensible.

Requirements

Demonstrated AI fluency: ability to identify which finance processes to automate, build the workflows, and articulate where AI output must be verified before it is trusted.
Senior experience across revenue accounting and billing operations.
Hands-on experience automating billing or finance processes and evaluating billing systems.
Exposure to audit readiness, ideally a first-year external audit.
Strategic judgment on automation sequencing and audit-defensible controls.
Clear cross-functional communication with Sales, Legal, and Accounting.

Responsibilities

Automate manual billing work, reconciliations, invoice generation, exception flagging, and data validation, building AI-assisted workflows and owning the review that keeps them audit-defensible.
Strengthen revenue accounting so our records are accurate and ready for the first-year audit, using AI to accelerate reconciliations and documentation while verifying what touches the books.
Evaluate and help implement billing software that fits how TRM works, using AI to compare options and model impact.
Build a prioritized automation roadmap: decide what to automate first and next, and measure the time it gives back to the team.
Add redundancy to a single-resource function so billing keeps pace with growth without concentrating key-person risk.
Partner with Sales, Legal, and Accounting to evaluate how contracts and policies are structured and their downstream billing impact.
