About The Position

The Revenue Analyst is responsible for the financial control of revenue contracts for all U.S. and Canadian entities. Reporting to the Senior Revenue Manager, the Revenue Analyst supports the Revenue Controllership function and statutory reporting requirements. At AVEVA, the Financial Control function has full ownership of entity ledgers, accounting, tax, compliance, treasury, and reporting. Strong revenue controllership at AVEVA requires a focus on accurate financial reporting, a thorough understanding of commercial contracts and go-to-market models, adherence to internal controls, timely reporting to Group Finance, and close collaboration with Finance Operations to continuously improve processes and controls. The Revenue Analyst will also play a key role in maintaining a strong internal control environment by supporting Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities and ensuring the effectiveness of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) related to revenue recognition and contract accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS 15, US GAAP, and company policies.
  • Review contract assets, contract liabilities, deferred revenue, and related reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end revenue close activities, including cut-off testing and variance analysis.
  • Reconcile revenue data between Salesforce, Oracle, and FDW, ensuring completeness and accuracy of reported revenue.
  • Execute and maintain SOX controls related to revenue recognition, contract accounting, and revenue reporting.
  • Ensure timely completion of control activities and retention of supporting documentation in compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain revenue process documentation, risk and control matrices (RCMs), and audit support schedules.
  • Support internal and external audits, SOX testing, walkthroughs, and remediation of control deficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with the Group's Internal Control Framework and drive continuous improvement of revenue processes and controls.
  • Partner with Finance Operations, Order Entry, Tax, and Shared Service teams to resolve issues and strengthen the revenue control environment.
