This position provides primary accounting functions and payment transactions for LaCHIP Affordable Plan (LAP) and Family Opportunity Act (FOA) Medicaid eligibility programs. The role is responsible for daily reconciliation and application of all funds received to Individual Billing Plan member’s accounts, responding to member inquiries regarding premiums, and ensuring timely classification and application of all premium payments received in the mail. The analyst will compile reports of advance pays and refunds for management review, process approved refunds, and handle returned and declined payments. Additionally, the position ensures automatic billing is initiated and reviewed for rejects, assists in developing standards and procedures for efficient operations, and attends meetings with Program Staff for program management and reporting. The role also serves as a financial subject matter expert (SME) for LAP and FOA programmatic reporting and policy changes impacting financial reporting. The analyst will assist with monitoring and maintaining file exchanges and updates between Medicaid Technology Services (MTS), Office of Technology Services (OTS), and Office of Management & Finance (OMF). A key responsibility includes reconciling errors on financial reports submitted by MTS Program Staff to OMF and seeking resolution with MTS to prevent future errors. The position requires attending meetings with LDH Management and Program staff, running and reviewing A/R reports monthly for management decisions, and providing periodic updates to Program Staff. The analyst will also assist with reconciling interim and final financial reports, verifying them with the Fiscal Office, and monitoring compliance with internal policies and regulations. Other tasks as required.
