About The Position

The Returns Associate processes, inspects, documents, and determines the disposition of returned products in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role supports accurate handling of returned merchandise, inventory integrity, and warehouse operations by following established return procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately inspect products.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, reach, and grasp.
• Frequently lift and lower up to 50 pounds; assistance is required when lifting over 50 pounds.
• Frequently carry up to 50 pounds; assistance is required when lifting over 50 pounds.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, loud noise, dust, odors, dirt/dust, and fumes.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or returns processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and process returned merchandise according to procedures.
• Review return documentation and instructions to ensure proper handling and accurate processing.
• Inspect returned items for quality, condition, damage, and completeness to determine the appropriate return category.
• Document return findings accurately and update required systems or records.
• Determine the appropriate disposition of returned merchandise, including restocking, repair, recycling, vendor return, or disposal.
• Organize and move returned products to designated warehouse locations.
• Communicate with warehouse staff and other departments about return status, discrepancies, and product issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following safety procedures.
• Assist with inventory control and cycle count activities related to returned products.
