About The Position
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Surgical Scheduler working in our retina department. At Wolfe Eye clinic, we create Better Vision for a Better Life.
Requirements
- Detail orientated
- Have effective time management skills
- Learn and adapt quickly
- Maintain excellent communication and patient service skills
- Ability to work effectively with hospitals to schedule surgical patients.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule retina surgeries and postoperative care for all retina providers
- Collaborate with physicians and retina staff to secure surgical dates and ensure all preoperative requirements are completed.
- Communicate surgery instructions and expectations to patients and caregivers, face to face or phone
- Initiate referral requests
- Responsible for obtaining insurance authorizations for diagnostic testing
- Assists Retina Resource with tasks /fills in for PTO/call ins
- Maintain accuracy of electronic medical records and all chart documentation
- Manage surgical paperwork
- Serve as a liaison between our Clinic and Surgery Center
