About The Position

Comfrt is looking for our next Retention Creative Designer who will own the visual execution of our retention channels end to end — designing high-performing email, SMS, and push creative that keeps our community engaged, drives repeat purchase, and brings the Comfrt brand to life across every lifecycle moment.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of graphic design experience with a portfolio demonstrating strong email and CRM creative, ideally for a DTC or ecommerce brand
  • Deep understanding of email design best practices including mobile-first layout, dark mode compatibility, accessibility, and rendering across clients
  • Proven experience designing for conversion, with an instinct for what visual choices drive action rather than just aesthetics
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo or a comparable ESP, with hands-on experience building or working within email template systems
  • Ability to move quickly, manage multiple concurrent briefs, and deliver polished work on tight timelines
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and data teams
  • A portfolio that includes email, SMS or MMS, and ideally push creative

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing for loyalty or membership programs
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and translating performance data into design decisions
  • Motion design or GIF production skills for email and SMS
  • Experience with Figma component libraries or design systems
  • Background in fashion, apparel, or lifestyle brands

Responsibilities

  • Design all email creative end to end, including promotional campaigns, automated flow templates, loyalty program communications, transactional touchpoints, and re-engagement series
  • Produce SMS-compatible imagery, GIFs, and MMS creative optimized for mobile rendering and click-through
  • Create push notification visuals and supporting creative assets for lifecycle moments
  • Own the visual testing roadmap for retention channels, including module-level A/B tests on imagery, layout, CTA design, hero treatment, and color
  • Build and maintain a modular email design system within Klaviyo, enabling rapid template iteration without sacrificing brand consistency
  • Partner with the Retention and CRM Campaign Manager on campaign briefs, translating copy and strategy into visual executions that are built to perform
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to ensure all retention creative aligns with brand standards and seasonal direction
  • Analyze performance data alongside the retention team and apply findings to ongoing design decisions, with a point of view on what visual changes move the needle
  • Support ComfrtClub loyalty program creative needs, including member communications, tier-specific messaging, and rewards-focused campaigns
  • Support the design of onsite capture experiences including email and SMS pop-ups, working cross-functionally to create visually compelling opt-in moments that drive list growth
