About The Position

The Retail Team Member provides friendly customer service, helps customers find products and solutions, and delivers a fast, friendly checkout experience. The role supports store operations through truck unloading, stocking, planogram execution, merchandise recovery, and maintaining a well-merchandised, in-stock store. Team members also assist with online-order processes, store programs, safety and shrink prevention, and may be cross-trained in custom framing sales and production. This is a seasonal early-morning stocking position at the Lebanon, Pennsylvania store. Michaels requires team members in this role to be at least 16 years old.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Retail and/or customer service experience is preferred, not required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly, including lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
• Applicants in the U.S. must meet federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and find solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience and handle cash according to standards.
• Promote the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers about the Voice of Customer survey.
• Assist with omnichannel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including returns and general store recovery.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Follow standard operating procedures, company programs, policies, and standards, including applicable legal requirements.
• Interact respectfully with others, remain positive in difficult situations, support the organization’s vision and values, and serve as a positive role model.
• Cross-train in custom framing sales and production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
