About The Position

The Retail Team Leader, internally classified as a Zone Team Leader, serves as a store keyholder and provides guidance and direction for the successful operation of a designated zone on the retail sales floor. The role oversees associates focused on merchandising and selling merchandise while supporting a positive associate and customer experience. Responsibilities include merchandising and customer service oversight, as well as performing Team Leader functions to open and close the store when needed and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays regularly.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player and interact well with customers and associates.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Execute established procedures for the assigned zone, including merchandising, signage, displays, replenishment, pricing, advertising sets, and daily recovery.
• Ensure store standards, operational compliance, seasonal planning, inventory processes, and company programs meet operational expectations.
• Oversee planning for and receipt of merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is properly stocked.
• Ensure appropriate scheduling and staffing for unloading and processing merchandise to the sales floor while driving associate productivity, assigning daily tasks, and maintaining customer service standards.
• Supervise associates in the assigned zone and communicate company directives to ensure follow-up is completed.
• Perform Team Leader functions to open and close the store when needed.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
