About The Position

The Retail Team Leader, internally titled Zone Team Leader, serves as a store keyholder and guides the successful operation of an assigned zone on the retail sales floor. The role oversees associates responsible for merchandising and selling merchandise, while supporting an exceptional associate and customer experience. Responsibilities include merchandising and oversight of customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with customers and associates.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Execute procedures for the assigned zone, including merchandising, signage, displays, replenishment, pricing, ad sets, and daily recovery.
• Ensure store standards, operational compliance, seasonal planning, inventory processes, and company programs meet operational expectations.
• Oversee planning for and receipt of merchandise and ensure the sales floor is properly stocked.
• Ensure appropriate scheduling and staffing for merchandise unloading and processing to the sales floor; drive associate productivity, daily task assignment, and customer service standards.
• Supervise associates in the assigned zone and communicate company directives to ensure follow-up is completed.
• Perform Team Leader functions to open and close the store when needed.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
