About The Position

The Retail Team Leader helps provide an exemplary experience and atmosphere for every Goodwill customer through outstanding customer service and by maintaining a clean, inviting, and shoppable store. The role may involve opening and/or closing the store, overseeing store operations when the manager and assistant manager are absent, and training and evaluating store employees and, when applicable, persons served. The position is full-time and pays $16.97 per hour.

Requirements

At least two years of prior retail sales experience.
Demonstrated ability to use a cash register and perform related duties, including giving correct change.
A driver’s license and proof of insurance are required if frequently driving is part of the job duties.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience with opening and closing responsibilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

Open and/or close the store, ensuring it operates during posted hours, doors are secured upon leaving, and paperwork is completed accurately.
Oversee store operations in the absence of the manager and assistant manager, and report arising issues to them.
Train and evaluate store employees and, when applicable, persons served.
Correct EBT errors when called upon.
Count down cash drawers.
Ensure cash, deposits, and cash drawers are placed in the safe and that the safe is closed and locked.
Accept donated items safely, courteously, and efficiently according to store guidelines.
Process donated items to produce inventory for the sales floor.
Follow store procedures for sales floor cashiering, customer service, merchandise handling, and upkeep.
